Introduction to Via Rail

VIA Rail is the operator of national passenger rail service. It operates up to 497 trains weekly on 12,500 kilometers of track from coast to coast and north to Hudson Bay. On February 28, 1977, Transport Canada Minister Otto Lang announced the creation of VIA Rail, a Crown Corporation to provide rail services to travelers in Canada.Its headquarters are located in Montreal,Quebec Its website for on-line booking and other information is viarail.ca
